This study investigates the connection of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within Tourism and Hospitality research, focusing on SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities). The research aims to enhance industry sustainability through responsible waste management, cultural sensitivity, and community support. The study evaluates the Compliance of a Higher Education Institution (HEI) in its Alternative Learning Exposure program for Hospitality and Tourism Management students, aligning with SDGs. It assesses adherence to CHED memorandum criteria, participant preferences for location types, and the 5A's of tourism, addressing challenges in meeting standards. Results show HEI compliance with pre-off-campus requirements, contributing to SDG 4 (Quality Education). Off-campus activities align with SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) through cultural experiences and engagement in food preparation. Preferences for nature-based areas resonate with SDG 15 (Life on Land) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities). Significant differences in participant preferences across destinations contribute to SDG 10 (Reduced Inequality) by promoting inclusive experiences. The Alternative Learning Exposure Program enriches students' education, aligning with SDGs and fostering sustainable practices. The research employed descriptive methods, surveying Hospitality and Tourism Management students. Descriptive and inferential statistics identified significant differences in preferences among participants, informing recommendations for curriculum enhancement and as output.
