School Experiences in Community Partnership

Abstract

School–community partnerships play a vital role in enhancing educational outcomes and fostering shared responsibility among stakeholders. This study explores school experiences in implementing community partnership initiatives, focusing on the challenges encountered and the strategies developed to address them. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected from selected school stakeholders through interviews and analyzed thematically.

Findings revealed that major challenges include limited stakeholder participation, scheduling conflicts, communication gaps, and resource constraints. Despite these issues, schools demonstrated adaptive practices such as flexible and contextualized scheduling, strengthened multi-platform communication systems, and active collaboration with barangay and community leaders. The study highlights that an effective partnership is anchored on inclusive planning, clear communication, and sustained collaboration among stakeholders. Furthermore, the results emphasize the importance of community engagement strategies that are responsive to local contexts and needs. The study concludes that strengthening school–community partnerships requires continuous coordination, shared accountability, and the integration of innovative and inclusive practices to ensure long-term sustainability and improved educational outcomes.
