Innovative Approach Inclusive for Licensure Examination for Teachers’ Review

The Board Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (BLEPT) in the Philippines served as a critical gateway for aspiring educators, determining their eligibility and competence to teach. In response, this paper proposes an innovative approach that integrates modern pedagogical strategies, technology-enhanced learning, and learner-centered methodologies. As SDG no. 4 focused on the Quality Education, the Mallig Plains Colleges, Inc. must ensure to provide quality instructions that catered the capabilities of the learners. This study intended to present the average scores of the 2nd and 3rd year students for the AY 2024-2025 navigating the profile of the respondents- respondents’ performance in the Institutional Assessment Test across components in English, Filipino, Science, Social Science and Mathematics. Mixed method was used to fulfill the desired outcome of the present study. The respondents were composing of 60 from the different majors such as 23 respondents from Bachelor of Elementary Education and 37 from the Bachelor of Secondary Education. Also, a self-designed questionnaire was also used to determine the innovative approaches and their challenges encountered. The statistical tool used in this study were ANNOVA and Chi-square. Their average scores were interpreted moderately satisfactory, hence, there was no significant difference in the learners’ average score when grouped according to the learners’ profile variable. On the other hand, there was a significant relationship between the learning style of the respondents to the innovation approach used by the teachers in preparation for institutional assessment test. Moreover, there was no significant relationship between the average score of the respondents to the innovation approach used by the teacher as to “Peer Review”, “Team Teaching” “Strategies through Games” and “Inquiry Based”. However, there was a was significant relationship the average score of the respondents to the innovation approach used by the teacher as Institutional Assessment Test.
