Job satisfaction plays an essential role in the overall commitment and productivity of the school organization. To understand this, this study determined the job satisfaction on the teaching profession among the language faculty at Sulu State College. Specifically, it ascertained the following: the factors affecting the job satisfaction in the teaching profession among language faculty; and the significant difference in the factors affecting job satisfaction among faculty. Weighted mean, t-test, and One-way ANOVA were used to investigate the factors affecting job satisfaction in the teaching profession, and their significant differences among faculty. This study revealed that the respondents highly believe that there are factors that can affect their job satisfaction in their profession. Moreover, there was no significant differences seen in terms of status of employment, highest educational attainment, and civil status. However, there was a significant difference seen in the factors affecting job satisfaction in terms of length of service. Faculty who has been in the workplace for almost a decade have been exposed to a more complex hierarchy of needs which is belongingness in contrast to those faculty who has been in the workplace for more than a decade have a tendency adjust and accommodate these factors that might affect their teaching profession. With this, it was suggested that the College administrators should foster open communication with faculty to address issues promptly, improve job satisfaction through improved work conditions, competitive salaries, and a supportive environment. Faculty should seek professional development opportunities and collaborate to share best practices, leading to innovative teaching methods.
