Tracer Study of Master of Science in Criminology Graduates of University of Cagayan Valley: A Follow-Up Study

This follow-up tracer study investigates the career trajectories and professional development of the Master of Science in Criminology program on its graduates. The research aimed to make a follow-up study on the graduates of Master of Science in Criminology graduates of University of Cagayan Valley to improve the curriculum on the current industry demands. Utilizing a descriptive design, data was gathered through survey questionnaires to the alumni who graduated between 2018 to 2023. Key indicators include employment status, professional examination passed, rank or position, work affiliations and training attended. The findings reveal a high employment rate among graduates, with a significant proportion occupying roles in law enforcement and academic. Participants expressed overall satisfaction with the program, though they also suggested areas for curricular enhancement, particularly in research methodology and applied criminological practices. The study provides valuable insights for academic planners, policy makers, and stakeholders aiming to improve graduate outcomes and program effectiveness in criminology education.
